 WHAT: Massachusetts Electric will present a check for more


than $1.2 million to BASF Corporation, an incentive payment for the company's installation of energy efficient equipment within its newly constructed 250,000 square-foot facility in Worcester. The energy conservation effort is the largest of its kind yet undertaken by the utility and one of its commercial customers.
 The BASF facility, which employs 400, was equipped with energy efficient lighting heating, and cooling technology including state-of-the-art room occupancy sensors, fan motors, variable speed drives, building shell measures, an energy management system, and storage cooling system.
