In DC015, issued yesterday, Dec. 23, GSA Plans Fish and Wildlife Service Relocation To Hadley, Mass., we are advised by the GSA that the last paragraph should begin "Diamond said the late Rep." rather than as originally issued. The complete corrected release follows:
NEW YORK, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Regional Administrator William J. Diamond of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), New York, today announced that the Region 5 office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will move to 10 Westgate Center Drive, Hadley, Mass., in November 1992.
The Fish and Wildlife Service, now located in Newton, Mass., will occupy space in a building constructed by and leased from Amherst Development Partners of Agawam, Mass.
The new 72,000 square-foot building will be three stories and will house more than 240 employees. The Fish and Wildlife Service will occupy 56,800 net usable square feet of space initially, with a possible additional 6,000 feet within the first five years.
The lease will be for 20 years and the cost to the government will be approximately $19,800,000 for the 20-year term. GSA's Region 2 Public Building Service in Boston will oversee construction and management of the new space.
Diamond said the late Rep. Silvio O. Conte (R-Mass.), who served 32 years in the Congress, authored enabling legislation for the project included in the Treasury, Postal Service and General Government Act of 1990.
