 SAN DIEGO, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Alco International Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALIG) ("Alco") today announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Commission") has issued an order of private investigation with respect to certain matters concerning Alco. Alco intends to cooperate fully with the Commission throughout its investigation. The Commission has stated that the investigation should not be construed as an indication by the commission or its staff that any violations of law have occurred, nor should it be considered a reflection upon any person, entity or security.
 Alco, through its subsidiaries, operates two primary businesses: (i) the manufacturing and marketing of medical products for infection control and for women's health; and (ii) the transportation of containerized cargo from South Florida to the Caribbean.
