 VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL BY COMTEX
NEW YORK, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Comtex and PJB Publications Ltd. announced today the availability of daily pharmaceutical, healthcare, animal health and agrochemical industry news coverage via electronic mail.
No special technical literacy is required to use this electronic alerting service. Instead of having to understand online retrieval language, users of the Comtex service simply define a personalized profile based only on subjects relevant to their interests. News articles are then matched against the company's, department's or individual's profile to provide a personalized news service which is delivered to specified E-mail boxes. Users therefore receive timely notification of key news developments before the start of the working day.
PJB Publications Ltd.'s printed newsletters Scrip, Clinica, Agrow and Animal Pharm have, up till now, been presented electronically as the online Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industries News Database (PHIND). This is available on Dialog, BRS, and DataStar as two product oriented files: a daily
updated news file and an archive file for in-depth research. The new delivery application from Comtex is a complementary service and will be of particular interest to corporate affairs, marketing and information services' professionals in the international pharmaceutical, healthcare and related industries.
The service is marketed by Comtex Scientific Corporation. Charges are made per story received. A cost-effective license agreement is available from PJB Publications LTD. for those users who wish to redistribute or receive multiple deliveries of the information.
