,Ci141 illegal expat workers arrested in Oman.

Muscat: Over 140 expats were arrested in a joint operation, for working in the fishing industry without a license. The inspection campaign took place on the island of Masirah on Tuesday and Wednesday, and was carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishers (MoAF), in coordination with the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP). In a statement online, MoAF said, "141 expats were arrested for working in the field of artisanal fishing without a permit." Authorities added that legal proceedings will be taken against them.
