'We'll lose star players'.

Byline: MARK CURRIE

WREXHAM manager Dean Saunders has warned he will lose his star players unless they are paid soon.

Dragons supporters have donated pounds 12,000 to the financially troubled club, who failed to pay employees in July.

But with the wage believed to be around pounds 50,000 there is still a massive shortfall.

And Saunders fears that several of his unsettled players - who are attracting interest from opportunistic rivals - will jump ship.

He said: "There are a few unsettled players and there have been other clubs sniffing around like vultures but I want to make sure we stay together because we've got a good chance this season."
