Pocket Books Rushes to Stores Three Days After FBI Review

NEW YORK, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- "UNABOMBER: On the Trail of America's Most-Wanted Serial Killer" by former FBI agent John Douglas and Mark Olshaker will be on sale on Monday, May 6, it was announced today by Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of Pocket Books. "UNABOMBER" ($6.50) recounts the FBI's eighteen-year pursuit of the Unabomber from the very beginning through the suspect's stunning capture in Montana on April 3. The book also includes an 8-page photo insert and the entire text of the Unabomber's manifesto.

Initially scheduled to be on sale April 25, the book was temporarily delayed pending an FBI review which was completed on Friday, May 3. Ms. Centrello commented, "Thanks to the FBI's expeditious treatment of this highly sensitive manuscript, Pocket Books has speedily and responsibly published the definitive book on the 18-year hunt for the Unabomber. John Douglas with co-author Mark Olshaker are the writing team behind the bestselling book "Mindhunter." Mr. Douglas will be available for interviews beginning May 10.
