'Special children society's collective responsibility'.
FAISALABAD -- Special Children particularly visually-impaired kids are collective responsibility of society and in this connection Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI) will organize a special awareness session to educate and sensitize its members to contribute their role in nurturing and grooming visually-impaired persons as productive and respectable individuals.
Urwa Nabeel, Vice President FWCCI, said this while addressing a function in Al-Bashir School in connection with 'White Cane Safety Day' here on Tuesday.
She said that FWCCI has been mandated to protect the basic interest of its members but it is also contributing its role in CSR (Social Corporate Responsibilities) activities.
She said that to educate the visually impaired persons is a very difficult job and the teachers who have been performing these duties must be encouraged and acknowledged by the society.
Shama Ahmed, Executive Member FWCCI, underlined the importance of White Cane Safety Day and said, 'It provides us to renew our commitment to look after the deprived and special persons particularly visually-impaired persons.
She told that Lions International Club is exclusively working to treat the eye related ailments.
Visually-impaired students presented various programs including tableaus to highlight the social issues faced by the visually-impaired persons in the society.
Later, Urwa Nabeel and Shama Ahmed distributed unstitched clothes among the school teachers.
