'Pokemon Sword And Shield' News Update: Weezing Wears A Top Hat.

"Pokemon Sword" and "Pokemon Shield" may not have all 800+ Pokemon from all titles beginning with "Pokemon Red, Green and Blue," but it will allow players to see older Pokemon in a new light.

One of these Pokemon is the poison-type smoke belcher longtime fans know to be Weezing. According to the (https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/galarian-forms/) Pokemon Company , "Certain Pokemon have adapted to the unique environment of one specific region and look different than the same species might look when found in another region."

Galarian Forms

The result of (https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/weezing/) Weezing's adaptation to the new region is that it now wears a top hat, and sports moustaches made from its toxic fumes. The top hat also acts as "chimneys" where smoke, or whatever poisonous gas, comes from. Aside from the new look, Weezing also acquires a new ability that's still unknown at the moment.

Weezing is but one of the Pokemon that are known to have adapted to the new Galar region featured in the game. Other Pokemon that acquired their own Galarian forms include Zigzagoon and Linoone.

(https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/zigzagoon/) Zigzagoon's Galarian form looks very different from the one found in earlier titles. It now has reddish eyes; it now has a perpetually open mouth and hanging tongue; and its fur is now colored black and gray, not brown and white-like.

Galarian Zigzagoon's evolution, (https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/linoone/) Linoone , looks even meaner compared to how it used to look. It features the same fur color as Galarian Zigzagoon, and also has an open mouth and a hanging tongue. Its eyes are also reddish in color.

Added evolution

"Pokemon Sword" and "Pokemon Shield" doesn't just give older Pokemon a new look; some older Pokemon are also able to learn new and unique evolutions "unseen in any other region." One of these is (https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/obstagoon/) Obstagoon , Galarian Linoone's next evolution.

Obstagoon, a dark/normal-type Pokemon, has the "reckless" and "guts" ability. It uses the "Obstruct" move against attacking enemies, throwing them off guard and counterattacking using its sharp claws.

Hunger Switch

The new titles will also introduce a new Pokemon named (https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/pokemon-galar-region/morpeko/) Morpeko . This "two-sided" rodent Pokemon is able to use different attack types thanks to the "Hunger Switch" ability. In "Full Belly" mode, Morpeko uses electric-type attacks. When in "Hangry" mode, Morpeko changes its color and eye shape to look very angry, and uses dark-type attacks.

"Pokemon Sword" and "Pokemon Shield" are scheduled for launch on Nov. 15. Watch the video below for more details about the game.
