'Party Smart' program earns national award from NCADD.

A national consumer alcohol awareness and education program by Beer Drinkers of America--Party Smart--recently earned a Certificate of Commendation from the National Commission Against Drunk Driving (NCADD), at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The certificate acknowledged the program's alcohol education and drunk driving prevention efforts.

Party Smart conducts year-long efforts to encourage responsibility and moderation among adults who choose to drink alcohol by distributing education materials and audio and video public service announcements, and by sponsoring designated driver programs.

"We're pleased to receive this award," said Dr. Nancy Olenick, national education director. "It gives our message added credibility at the national level."
