'No bad blood' as Nick Grimshaw quits X Factor judging panel.

NICK Grimshaw has revealed he is quitting the X Factor and insists "there's no bad blood".

The Radio 1 DJ, pictured, dedicated a section of his Breakfast Show yesterday morning to the news.

After sitting down over Christmas to consider his future with the singing contest he agreed it was time to bow out, the Mirror reports.

The star began by saying: "I'm not going to do X Factor," before saying he made the final decision over the festive season.

He added: "It's one of those things I loved, it's not a diss to the X Factor, it's not me walking out."

And explaining his reasons, he admitted it felt like a "once-in-a-lifetime-style thing".

The star has nothing but love for his fellow judges, Rita Ora, Cheryl, and Simon Cowell, and added: "I genuinely loved it, there's no bad blood.

"I just want to watch it on the telly." Asked what he'd say to his replacement, he then joked: "Don't do it!" before adding: "It is fun, it's a riot... it becomes your life."

He admitted he doesn't know who's up to take his place, but there's murmurings of a "Louis v Louis" battle - with 1D's Louis Tomlinson in the running, alongside former judge Louis Walsh.
