'NO LIMIT SHIPPING' NOW AT ALL MAIL BOXES ETC.
SEATTLE, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MAIL BOXES ETC.(R) (MBE) Centers of Western Washington have announced the expansion of their packing and shipping operations to include "NO LIMIT SHIPPING" at all MBE Centers, just in time for the holidays. According to the owners association of the 46 Puget Sound-area MBE Centers, "NO LIMIT SHIPPING" refers to a new direct shipping agreement between MBE and a private carrier which will now allow any MAIL BOXES ETC. location to pack and ship virtually anything, virtually anywhere in the world. Rod Parker, president of the local MBE Advertising Association, said the new agreement is part of MBE's nationwide total packing and shipping solution, the "Big or Small, We Ship It All"(TM) program. "Until now, shipping was extremely difficult and costly for individual customers and businesses with large or heavy packages which exceeded United Parcel Service's size or 70-pound weight limit," Parker said. "MBE's new shipping program eliminates the hassle of finding a carrier who will handle odd items and will also provide such additional special services as custom packing and crating and local pickup and delivery, if requested." MAIL BOXES ETC. is the world's largest franchiser of neighborhood retail service centers specializing in postal, business and communications services. MBE provides its professional services and network of facilities as a viable alternative to establishing or expanding separate offices or distribution systems. There are now more than 2,000 MBE Centers operating in the United States and internationally, each offering such services as mailbox rentals with street addresses, 24-hour mailbox access, packaging and shipping services and materials, fax and photocopying, to name a few. All MAIL BOXES ETC. franchises are independently owned and operated. -0- 11/19/93 /CONTACT: Gail Hannah, account executive, of Brems Eastman Glade Advertising/Public Relations, 206-284-9400, for MAIL BOXES ETC./
