It is becoming an annual traditional and Cardiff University Ladies Rugby Club are doing their part to keep up with appearances - by stripping naked for their 2018 calendar.

The team bravely ditched their kit to be shot in the buff - but all for good cause as they look to raise vital funds for breast cancer charity,CopaFeel.

Their target is to raise at least [pounds sterling]500 by selling copies of the [pounds sterling]7 special, that is proving to be a hit on campus.

The players posed in a series of rugby-related risque images - but the uni team's social secretary Rosie Foley paid tribute to those involved.

"I am very proud of every single one of them for doing it as body image for women and men is a very topical subject, especially for young people," said Foley, explaining that the calendar was also about promoting body confidence.

"A few of the girls were nervous -- even though we are a team it is very intimidating to bare all not only in front of us but for a calendar for everyone to see."

Foley admitted she was relieved that the weather was on the team's side as they stripped down to just their socks and boots.

"We had to get up very early to ensure members of the public didn't get a fright," she joked.

"It was a crisp, autumn morning and we had to battle with the ground being wet so mud was added to the shoot, which added to the realism of it.

"Luckily the weather was on our side and it didn't rain!"

The calendars are on sale now for [pounds sterling]7 from the Students' Union website,HERE.
