'Lady Lions' donate funds.

THREE charities have benefited from the efforts of a group of Bedworth-based fundraisers.

The partners of members of Bedworth Lions Club - who call themselves the 'Lady Lions' - have raised pounds 1,200 for charity.

Cheques for pounds 400 each are being donated to the breast care unit at Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital, the Riding for the Disabled Association at Nuneaton's Galley Common Equestrian Centre, and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

The money was raised by the women who ran regular quiz nights and also sold food at Bedworth's annual civic bonfire night event.
