'LEEZA,' HOSTED BY LEEZA GIBBONS, TO DEBUT MONDAY, JAN. 17, ON THE NBC TELEVISION NETWORK

First Week of Shows to Focus on Relationships in the '90s
HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- "Leeza," a new one-hour daytime talk show hosted by Leeza Gibbons, will debut Monday, Jan. 17, on NBC (check local station for time). Produced by Paramount Domestic Television, the show will focus on the issues and relationships affecting daytime audiences today and the ways they can triumph in their personal struggles. "Leeza" will draw on Gibbons' own experiences as a working woman, wife and mother.
"I'm looking forward to tackling the talk show genre in a way that reflects issues that are important to me and other women across America," said Gibbons.
"Leeza" promises to be a lively, intimate and informative hour where the audience members can share their thoughts on a program dedicated to their needs and interests. Tackling each subject in depth, "Leeza" will take a look at: marriage, relationships, sexual issues, parenting, divorce and the work place. In a unique forum, everyday men and women, as well as experts, celebrities and audience members, will offer insight into the complex issues facing viewers today.
In its first week, "Leeza" will feature a series of shows on relationships. Topics will include: "The Anatomy of an Affair" -- what to do when your partner is cheating and how it affects the relationship; "Over 50 and Pregnant" -- women bearing children late in life and the cost of high-tech baby-making; and "Having it All" -- what women really want out of life and how to get it.
"Leeza Gibbons has a unique quality that draws viewers in," said Brad Lachman, executive producer of "Leeza." "She's a warm, funny and compassionate woman who is as comfortable interviewing celebrities as she is at addressing the matters of concern facing the audience in the '90s."
Executive producer of "Leeza" is Lachman; Don Wells is supervising producer; Andrea Ambandos is senior producer; Bruce Catania is executive in charge of production; Adora English is planning producer; Tracy Mazuer and Deborah Alpert, who previously produced for ABC's "Home," Julie Minsky-Barroukh ("KTLA Morning News"), Ginger Simpson, Robin Smalley and Diane Abrams are all producers; and Michael Dimich is the director of "Leeza." Previously, Dimich was the director of the NBC sitcom "Amen" and has directed several network and cable television specials.
"Leeza" is produced by Paramount Domestic Television. The Paramount Television Group is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications Inc.
