'LAURIE HILL' GAINS GROUND; FRESHMAN SERIES CONTINUES
TO GAIN AUDIENCE IN THIRD WEEK
BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- "Laurie Hill," the new half-hour comedy-drama from The Black/Marlens Co. in association with Touchstone Television, airing Wednesdays, 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on ABC, continues to show remarkable growth in a very much contested time period since premiering on Sept. 30.
In its third airing on Oct. 14, the series received a 13.1 rating/21 share and retained its largest percentage thus far of "Home Improvement's" lead-in despite fierce competition from the National League playoffs on CBS, "Mad About You" on NBC and Fox-TV's "Melrose Place." In shares, "Laurie Hill" is up 17 percent from its premiere and is retaining 75 percent of "Home Improvement's" audience.
Opposite Game Seven of the National League Championship Series, "Laurie Hill" maintained its men's shares in addition to winning women 18-49, teens and kids 2-11.
"Laurie" keeps charging up that hill.
"Laurie Hill" is a production of The Black/Marlens Co. in association with Touchstone Television. Touchstone Television is part of Walt Disney Pictures and Television.
