'Kids book is too rude' COMPLAINT.

A BEST-SELLING children's book is being removed from supermarkets after a complaint about a swear word.

Anne Dixon, 55, bought My Sister Jodie by Jacqueline Wilson from her local Asda store in Stanley, Co Durham, as a gift for her great-niece.

But she was stunned to find a four-letter word repeated in the book several times.

Publishers Random House said it would re-issue the book, with the offensive word altered by one letter and replaced with "twit".

Asda said it will be taking the book off its shelves.
