'Kate' backs the Olympics drive.

KATE Middleton lookalike Heidi Agan added a touch of glamour when Olympic excitement returned to Cannock. Sainsbury's supermarket hosted a charity event that gave shoppers the chance to have their photographs taken with the Olympic Torch, the Paralympic Torch and Logan's Torch - the paper version made by five-year-old Logan McKerrow to raise money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf Peopl.

The event was the idea of Graham and Jo Hughes, who were Logan's Torch bearers after winning a bidding war and decided to raise a few more pounds for the coffers.

Martin Crutchley, aged 29, a competitor at the Beijing Paralympics who hopes to compete in Rio, took his Paralympic Torch.

Jamie Ward, a young aspiring long-distance athlete who also aims to get to Rio, took his Olympic Torch, having been a torch bearer in neighbouring town Wolverhampton.

More than pounds 130 was raised.
