'It must be Obama - not just for America but for the whole world' JOIN THE ONLINE DEBATE.

ON THE US ELECTIONS

It must be Obama - not just for the sake of America but for the sake of the whole world. We cannot have another ignoramus in the White House, no hockey mom proud of her ignorance and lack of schooling.

As foreigners we have no vote in this election, but we must all look on in trepidation as the votes are cast. Irrespective of the fact that MaCain is no fan of Dubya, he still represents the greed culture of corporate America that has brought the world to the brink of financial disaster.

Obama will work no miracles, you can be sure of that, but he's the best hope that America and we have of leading us out of this morass.

There's another crunch coming in the wake of this election and it's an environmental credit crunch far worse than the present financial one that is going to demand leadership that no Republican, Bible punching, flat Earther, climate change denier is ever going to solve.

ON THE SEVERN BARRAGE

The Severn Barrage is a project well beyond the comprehension of the Welsh Assembly. For any serious consideration to be given, I imagine several committees will have to be set up. As the decisions of these bodies will all submit conflicting conclusions it will be at least two centuries before anything happens.

ON GATLAND'S TEAM SELECTION

Surprised Cooper selected ahead of Peel and Evans ahead of Gough, but there you go. I am a bit worried that apart from Shane and young Halfpenny the back line lacks a bit of imagination. Treacle7
