'Imperial' Cognac taster celebration.

Guests at Andreas Antona's Simpson's restaurant in Edgbaston were among the first people in the UK to try a new Cognac released by Global Brand Leader, Hennessy.

The Paradis Imperial , is a recreation of a blend ordered by the Imperial court of Russia in 1818 to celebrate the 42nd birthday of Tsar Alexander I. The original blend was created by the 1st generation of Master Blender for Hennessy, with the original transcript - confirming the order - stored in the archives of Hennessy.

Marc Boissonnet, Hennessy Global Ambassador, treated guests to a fascinating speech about the new Cognac and about Hennessy in general.
