'Immoral' sex romp at Queensland resort giving nudists a hard time.
Sydney, January 18 (ANI): Sex romps at a Queensland resort could harm chances of the state having the first legal "clothing optional" beach, according to nudists.
Owners of The White Cockatoo resort, Tony and Lenore Fox, have come under fire after reports of poolside sex and partner swapping surfaced.
Naturists claim that the incident will cast wrong impression about the nudist movement.
"Nudism for us is a lifestyle thing where we can socialise without any sexual connotations," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted President of Free Beaches Australia, Traven Searle, as saying.
He added: "The whole thing up there (at The White Cockatoo) is very negative because it promotes a very sexual image."
Searle believes the sex romps could be a publicity stunt, as Fox intend to sell the resort.
He said that his group and the Australian Nudist Federation (ANF) do not want the White Cockatoo to be a nudist resort when sold.e said: "We are against adult only and swingers' resorts and prefer family-friendly places where kids can go for fun.
"All the negative publicity will be brought up whenever we suggest a clothing optional beach and definitely won't help."
However, Fox has said that the groups are simply jealous.
He said: "They fit my definition of prudie nudie to a tee. They are out of touch with what happens in the real world and are jealous that people just want to have a naked holiday instead of joining their clubs." (ANI)
