'I have not lost accent for TV show' PRESENTER.

Byline: By SARAH BARDON

MODEL Sarah Morrissey has rejected claims she has dropped her Dublin accent to help her TV career.

The former Miss Ireland spoke out after landing a presenting role on hit RTE2 show TTV.

She said: "It is going brilliantly and I absolutely love it.

"My accent has never even been mentioned when I meet anyone it isn't something that comes up in conversation.

" I definitely haven't changed it or had elocution or anything since I started."

Sarah previously caused a stir when she said RTE would not hire her because of her thick accent.

She said: "My accent hasn't been a disadvantage at all - if anything it's been a bonus.

"It gets me noticed as people remember me at jobs.

"As far as I am concerned this is me, so take me or leave me, I'm proud of where I come from."
