'Free shop has come at handy time'.

A NURSERY nurse has become the latest winner to scoop PS250 of shopping at Tesco thanks to the South Wales Echo's fantastic competition.

And in a twist of fate, the Echo in which Ceri Latham, 52, read about the contest was bought from a Tesco - in Cadoxton, Barry.

The mum of three grown-up children, from the town's Southey Street, said: "I can't believe it - it's quite surreal.

"It's a bit of a cliche, but after Christmas everything's a bit tight and it's come at a handy time.

"I'll share it out between the family as well, to help with the weekly shopping.

"It'll soon go - but it's a godsend."

Ceri, who works at Cadoxton Nursery School, said she now had another reason to be grateful for the Echo, having only ever won one other competition.

She won tickets to the opera in Cardiff Bay to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee after entering a South Wales Echo competition.

"The two things I've won have been from the Echo," she said. "Thanks very much!" You too could follow in Ceri's footsteps by entering our latest Tesco competition by 7pm tonight.
