'Eagle' set to fly again.

EDDIE the Eagle's amateur ski-jumping antics at the 1988 Winter Olympics have landed him in Hollywood.

That is despite the 38-year-old being placed last and executing one of the worst jumps in the history of the Olympics.

Eddie Edwards, who is now studying law at De Montford University, Leicester, will perform some of the ski jumps in the film and tell of the difficulties he faced.

Eddie said: "It's not often you get to the age of 38 and find someone wants to make a film about you.

Los Angeles-based Saville Productions has bought the film and TV rights to Eddie's story.

Producer Rupert Maconick hopes to begin the movie early next year.
