'ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT' NAMES THREE TO SUPERVISING PRODUCER POST

 HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Kathryn McEachern, Bill Olson and Jim Ziegler have been named supervising producers for Paramount Domestic Television's "Entertainment Tonight," effective immediately. The announcement was made by executive producer Jim Van Messel.
 McEachern is returning to "Entertainment Tonight" after spending the last year in Europe with the RTL German network, as executive producer of a new prime-time entertainment program called "Star Report." She first came to Paramount in 1987 as finance manager in the Domestic Television department. Since joining the "Entertainment Tonight" staff in 1989, she has held several posts, including coordinating producer, executive in charge of production, writer, post production supervisor and associate director. She began her career in television as a news writer and producer at KNSD-TV in San Diego. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, McEachern also earned her CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in San Francisco.
 Olson, a three-time Emmy nominee for his work on "Entertainment Tonight," has been with the show since its inception as a writer, associate director, post-production supervisor, weekend show producer and producer. He has also co-produced special editions of "Entertainment Tonight," including tribute shows to the Walt Disney Co. and Elvis Presley. Previously, he was coordinating producer of the syndicated television series "Portrait of a Legend" and associate producer for NBC's 30th anniversary special of "Ralph Edwards' This is Your Life." Olson is a graduate of Colorado State University.
 Ziegler joined "Entertainment Tonight" in 1981 as a segment director one month before the show debuted. Since then, he has served as a writer, weekend producer as well as producer for the show. A three-time Emmy nominee, Ziegler has interviewed such entertainment legends as Gregory Peck, Bette Davis and Jimmy Stewart. In addition, he co- produced several special editions of "Entertainment Tonight," including the shows 1,000th, 2,000th and 3,000th broadcasts. Prior to joining "Entertainment Tonight," he was senior coordinating producer for "PM Magazine" in San Francisco and segment producer for "Evening Magazine" in Baltimore. He attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
 Currently in its unprecedented 13th season, "Entertainment Tonight" is produced by Paramount Domestic Television in association with Cox Broadcasting. Van Messel is executive producer.
