 'EDEN' TO BEGIN SHOOTING ON JAN. 27 IN JAMAICA;
 PARADISE PRODUCTIONS PRODUCING FOR PLAYBOY
 Series Pilot Targeted For International Television Market
 NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- "Eden", a proposed 26-week series being produced for Playboy Entertainment Group (PEG) by Paradise Productions will begin principal photography on Monday, Jan. 27 with its pilot episode, "The Wedding" in Port Antonio, Jamaica, it was announced by Dick Sowa, president, distribution and chief operating officer, PEG.
 Sowa said that the 30-minute series pilot is being readied for presentation to international television buyers at the upcoming MIP-TV gathering in Cannes, France April 10-15. The series will also be premiering exclusively in the United States on Playboy At Night, the national pay-per-view network now available in over 5.5 million homes.
 "We believe," he added, "that this lavish, story-driven series will be an attractive addition to Playboy's line-up of international television presentations, which already includes the highly-successful magazine format series 'Playboy Late Night' and the cutting-edge anthology series 'Inside Out,'" produced by Playboy in association with the award-winning Propaganda Films.
 Overseeing the production for Playboy Entertainment Group is Dick Rosetti, president, production.
 According to Rosetti, "Eden" will be shot entirely on film and will feature an "outstanding cast with considerable domestic and international experience in feature film, theater and television roles."
 The storylines for "Eden" revolve around the life of Eve Rockwell, the exotic resort's voluptuous, sexy owner and principal personality. Rockwell is surrounded by a loyal and dependable, if occasionally eccentric, staff and a constantly changing roster of colorful guests. The stories will be as varied as the fascinating individuals who escape the routine to her island paradise, and they play out on the swimsuit- optional beaches, under the palm trees, in the clear blue waters and throughout the steamy, starry nights.
 For Paradise Productions, Jim Damalas and Rick Squire are the "Eden" executive producers. Both Squire and Damalas bring considerable international and domestic production experience to the series pilot. Among their credits are "Women of the World," a syndicated series for Sandra Carter Productions, "ABC's Incredible Sundays," segments of "Runaway with the Rich and Famous," the pilot for NBC's "Guys Next Door" series and Disney Christmas and Easter specials for ABC and CBS, respectively.
 "The Wedding" is written and co-produced by Steve Johnson whose writing credits include "The Equalizer" and numerous segments of "Cagney & Lacey." Johnson also wrote and produced the Lifetime network movie "Stop At Nothing" starring Veronica Hamel. Producer is Howard Barish, a seasoned veteran of series, made-for-television movies and feature films for the CBC and various Canadian and U.S. Production companies. Director is Jorge Montessi.
 Los Angeles-based Directions International Inc. will handle the post-production of the pilot and the series for Paradise. Directions International provides creative and production services for all four networks, Disney, Buena Vista International and numerous studios and independent film companies.
 The Cast for "Eden" Series Pilot "The Wedding"
 Yolanada Jilot, who plays resort owner Eve Rockwell, is an established star of German film and television.
 Oscar-winner Noel Harrison ("The Thomas Crown Affair") plays Claude Dellacroix, the slightly arrogant French chef.
 Brent Huff, a veteran of more than a dozen action/adventure feature films, plays Eden's staff supervisor -- the classic strong, silent type who manages to keep an eye on just about everything that transpires at the resort.
 Kari Whitman plays Anne-Marie, Eden's young, energetic and very alluring director of guest services. Kari was most recently seen in Transworld Entertainment's "Men At Work," starring Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez and on Fox Television's "Married With Children."
 Rawley Valverde, another Fox alumnus with credits for "Married with Children" and "Drexel's Class" as well as NBC's "Santa Barbara," plays Alexander, Eden's resident Romeo with a knack for attracting some of the resort's most attractive female guests.
 The Playboy Entertainment Group is owned by Playboy Enterprises Inc., an international publishing and entertainment company that publishes Playboy magazine and related media, including newsstand specials, calendars and 15 foreign editions; owns catalogs, including the Playboy catalog and Critics' Choice Video, which offers 2,500 video titles through the mail; owns the third-largest pay-per-view television network; creates and distributes programming for worldwide home video and international television; and markets Playboy-branded apparel, accessories, art prints and products for consumers around the world.
