'Discipline zone' implemented in Capas, Tarlac in preparations for SEA Games.

By Gabriela Baron

The local government of Capas, Tarlac strengthened its campaign for cleanliness and orderliness in preparations for the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

The town implemented a "keep right policy" and barred tricycles, motorcycles, public utility jeepneys (PUJs), and 'kuligligs' from staying in the middle of the main roads.

There will be a P500-peso penalty for those who will violate the policy for the first and second time. For the third time, the LGU will recommend to Land Transportation Office to cancel their license and franchise, according to Capas Mayor Rey Catacutan.

Police officers and barangay officials are deployed from Bamban town to Tarlac City to make sure that the policy is being fully implemented.

"Dapat pagkanagkasala, talagang walang patawad po para maging disiplinado," said Ruben Nolasco, Barangay Captain of Barangay Cutcut1 in an interview with ABS-CBN.

(Those who will violate the policy should be penalized right away so they learn and practice discipline.)

Clark City Sports Complex in Capas, Tarlac is set to be the main venue of the SEA Games that will start on November 30.
