'Cleaner' robots for clean rooms.

Several models of top-entry servo robots from Wittmann Inc., Torrington, Conn., are now available in versions modified for use in clean rooms. The units conform to Class 1000 or above according to U.S. Federal Standard 209e or Class 6 according to ISO 14644-1. Wittmann offers the robots for presses of 40 to 650 tons with a single or telescoping vertical arm.

Modifications include a closed energy chain, covered linear rails, one-piece castings in place of assemblies, exhaust-air collection system, and rack-and-pinion instead of tooth-belt design. Tel: (860) 496-9603 * PTDirect: 137MM
