'CONNOISSEUR' RESTAURANT TO OPEN IN ANN ARBOR, MICH.
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Best Western Domino's

Farms Hotel and Conference Center announced the soon-to-be-opened Connoisseur. According to the hotel's general manager, Haithem K. Sarafa, "The restaurant will be a five-star quality dining experience featuring modern American cuisine and American ingenuity." The gourmet menu will feature such items as sauteed Ingham County black morels, roasted boneless rack of Colorado lamb, roasted loin of axis venison and poached filet of opakapaka.
To ensure excellence, the hotel has acquired the expertise of Robert Creasey, chef de cuisine, and Kevin Mazziotta, maitre d'hotel, from the Arizona Biltmore, a five-star resort in Phoenix. Creasey and Mazziotta have 30 years' combined hospitality experience from such places as Oslo, Norway, and Kalapaki Beach on the island of Kauai, to the Plaza in New York City and the resort of Vail, Colo.
Mazziotta said, "My specialty is the fine art of combining select wines from around the world with innovative culinary inspirations." According to Chef Creasey, "My greatest reward will be providing the ultimate dining experience for guests at the Connoisseur."
"The unique dining atmosphere and five-star quality food, wine and service lends itself to business luncheons and dinners, as well as a cozy and comfortable experience for couples," said Chris McDevitt, sales manager of the Connoisseur. McDevitt added he plans on promoting the restaurant as an excellent facility for combining fine dining with business and pleasure.
The Connoisseur is one of the few completely non-smoking restaurants in Ann Arbor, in keeping with the philosophy of the owner, Domino's Pizza founder Thomas S. Monaghan, who has promoted a smoke-free environment at Domino's World Headquarters. Sarafa said, "The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner. Friday, Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, will be the first night of operation. The restaurant will be open for lunch Tuesday through Friday beginning March 3, 1992."
Reservations are recommended and appropriate attire is required. Please call 313-769-9800 for more information.
