'CAESARS CHALLENGE' TO PREMIERE ON NBC JUNE 21

 LOS ANGELES, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- "Caesars Challenge" a new half-hour game show, will premiere on NBC television stations beginning Monday, June 21, 1993, it was jointly announced today by NBC, Caesars World Inc. and Stephen J. Cannell Productions.
 The daytime game show strip will feature NBC sportscaster Ahmad Rashad as host and will be taped at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Caesars Challenge contestants will compete daily for more than $25,000 in prizes, in addition to a grand prize luxury automobile. The fast-paced word/puzzle game format challenges contestants to answer questions and unscramble subject-related 7-, 8- and 9-letter words.
 John Rohrbeck, president of NBC Television Stations, stated, "`Caesars Challenge' is a show with an engaging host who is already a part of the NBC family. A fun game and an exciting location. We are pleased to have it on the NBC daytime schedule."
 "Caesars Challenge" will be taped before a live audience in Caesars Palace's Circus Maximus Showroom. "Caesars Palace's showroom has played host to superstar entertainment for more than 25 years. It also has been the location of numerous movies and television programs. The excitement of this newly created game show will generate great entertainment for both the live audience in Las Vegas and the viewing audience at home."

 "Caesars Challenge" was co-created by Rosner and Michael Dubelko, president of Cannell Studios. It is produced by the former "Hollywood Squares" production team, headed by Rosner, that most recently teamed on the late-night CBS game show, "Personals," also from Cannell/Rosner.
