'Boast' signs questioned.

LABOUR Cllr Phil Townshend asked if the cost of putting up new signs boasting that road repairs had been completed would count as Conservative election expenses.

He asked how much the signs cost, and where the money to pay for them came from.

Tory cabinet member Kevin Foster said he would have been happy to find out the costs if Cllr Townshend had given advance notice of his question.

Cllr Foster: "They make no reference to party, no reference to any other factors or of councillors individually."
