'A man's accessory' targeted by sundial.

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. -- Sundial Brands is promoting its SheaMoisture Men's Beard Care Collection, a line of washes, conditioners, balms and other products infused with naturally rich maracuja oil and certified-organic shea butter, which is ethically sourced by women-led co-ops as part of the brand's purpose-driven Community Commerce business model.

"Whether you're sporting stubble, scruff or a full-grown beard, facial hair is a man's accessory. However, great facial hair doesn't appear out of nowhere --it requires grooming and upkeep," the company said in a statement. "SheaMoisture Men's Beard Care Collection softens, smooths and cleanses without drying out facial hair and skin."

The SheaMoisture Men's Beard Care Collection comprises four products, each of which carries a suggested retail price of $9.99:

* Maracuja Oil & Shea Butter Face & Beard Wash, which deeply cleanses beards of dirt, flakes and odors without drying out facial hair and skin.

* Maracuja Oil & Shea Butter Full Beard Detangler, which conditions and softens thick, coarse facial hair, providing great slip to ease out knots without tugging.

* Maracuja Oil & Shea Butter Beard Conditioning Oil, to absorb quickly to soften and condition full beards while restoring moisture to dry facial skin.

* Maracuja Oil & Shea Butter Beard Balm, to shape, smooth and define facial hair for a beard that stays well-groomed all day long.

None of the products contain mineral oils, parabens, phthalates or propylene glycol, according to the company.

In accord with Sundial Brands' Community Commerce model, 10% of the proceeds from sales of the collection help support women's empowerment in three key areas--entrepreneurship, education and equity.
