'92 frozen food festival to feature international menu.

A myriad of International Foods and specialty cuisines promises to add variety to the huge menu at the 1992 National Prepared Frozen Food Festival. This is the 12th anniversary of the foodservice industry's premier trade show, to be held on Wednesday, September 23,1992 at the Stadium Club, Giants Stadium, The Meadowlands Sports Complex, East Rutherford, New Jersey. The show will be open to restaurateurs, chefs, dieticians, and institutional foodservice professionals. Show hours will be from 1 1 AM to 9 PM.

International menu items available for sampling at the show will include a selection from south of the border Mexican Omelettes, Empanadas, Frajitas, Burritos, and Mexican Potato Pancakes. Oriental dishes will start with Eggrolls, and proceed to a variety of Oriental Entrees, including Beef or Chicken with Szechuan Sauce, Oriental dishes with Oyster Sauce, and Stir-Fried Oriental Vegetables.

In addition to a broad selection of standard Kosher items found throughout the show, specialties will include Cheese or Blueberry Blintzes, Potato Pancakes, New York Style Cheesecake, Bagels, and a full line of Kosher Hors D'Oeuvres.

Coming up with appetizing low cholesterol meals is truly a challenge for today's restaurateurs. Many appealing presentations of fish, chicken, and turkey abound throughout the show. Specialty menu items will include Vegetable Pate, Vegetarian Burgers, Vegetable Lasagna, and Vegetarian Steaks, Tacos, and Sausage. Low-sodium dishes will also be featured.

The 1992 Frozen Food Festival will include a tremendous assortment of prepared and frozen ready-to-serve Italian foods. All kinds of Ravioli and Lasagna, Shells with Sauce, Italian Meatballs, Shrimp Scampi, Stuffed Shells Florentine, Veal Parmigiana, Pizza, Calzones, a variety of Italian Sauces, and numerous Italian Appetizers. Top it all off with Italian Ices and a cup of Espresso, Cappuccino, or Mochaccino (or even regular coffee!)

A large contingent of food manufacturers from Canada will again be on hand to add to the International flavor. Jamaican, Creole, French, Mediterranean, and Swedish menu items will enhance the global flavor.
