Our award winning Upper Class offers the longest flat bed in the sky. The menu offers a wide selection of bites, meals and snacks. Passengers can indulge in some amazing cocktails and drinks in our Onboard Bar. A state- of- the- art in- flight entertainment system keeps them busy.

The cabin crew is also very dedicated. We also provide a chauffeur pick and drop for our passengers. In London, passengers can have a drive- through check in and priority boarding. All Upper Class passengers are also included in our exclusive frequent flyer programme Flying Club. Pampering takes a whole new meaning once you reach the cabin.

The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in Heathrow is a hit. Tell us more about it.

Yes. The Clubhouse consists of a spa, hair salon, tanning booth, poolside lounge, a massive cocktail bar, a deli and a snack bar. The famous Cowshed spa offers a wide range of services like facials, pedicures, skin treatments, etc for men and women. The Clubhouse has won several awards in the industry.

Do you have any special incentives, schemes for business class passengers?

Passengers flying Upper Class are included in our frequent flyer programme, FlyingClub. Through miles earned, passengers get discounts, special fares and even free tickets on our FlyingClub programme. Promotions with American Express, Matrix SIM cards, etc., are regularly rolled out for our upper class travellers. We are also planning a few events this year for our members.

In terms of your Upper Class fare, how expensive are you vis- a- vis other international airlines?

Although we are perceived to be an expensive brand we are actually a value for money airline.

What are the new trends to come in business class travel?

Affordable luxury will be the buzzword.

Customers will demand value for money. Over the next few years we will see a healthy competition in the aviation sector to provide unparalleled customer service and flying experience.

How have you braved the slowdown?

Those loyal to Virgin Atlantic still choose to fly with us on Upper Class and Premium Economy because of our services which are very convenient for the business as well as the leisure traveller.
