$3,250 Per Acre in Arkansas.

The average value of farm real estate in Arkansas rose 2.2 percent this year compared with 2017, to $3,250 per acre, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Nationwide, the average value increased 1.9 percent, to $3,140 per acre. The information was contained in the "Land Values: 2018 Summary" report released by the USDA and the National Agricultural Statistics Service in August.

The farm real estate value is a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms.

Changes in the average value of farm real estate ranged from an 8.3 percent increase in the Southern Plains to a 1.4 percent decrease in the Northern Plains. The highest values were to be found in the Corn Belt region, which averaged $6,430 per acre. The lowest were in the Mountain region, $1,140.
