 $25 MILLION FMS CONTRACT AWARDED; GM GETS ARMY TRUCK CONTRACT
 WASHINGTON, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Army has awarded the Military Vehicles Operation of General Motors, GM, Truck and Bus Group, Pontiac, Mich., a $25,722,000 firm fixed-price truck contract on March 4.
 The 600 GM trucks, (30903) chassis cab, with ambulance body, are based on updated and redesigned versions of original basic Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicles (CUCV) but with gasoline engines.
 Expected completion on this contract, a U.S. Army foreign military sale to Saudi Arabia, is Nov. 20, 1992. GM East Assembly, Pontiac, will produce chassis cabs and U.S. Trailer, a GM subcontractor, in Livonia, Mich., will produce ambulance bodies and complete assembly.
 U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Command, Warren, Mich., contracting activity, initiated this sole source contract on Oct. 16, 1991 (DAAE07-92-C-0474).
