"Venture Reporter" from rising tide studios.

Rising Tide Studios (New York), the publisher of the electronic and, now- closed, print editions of Silicon Alley Reporter and Digital Coast Reporter magazines, has begun the publication of Venture Reporter magazine. The new title will be published six times a year with a paid circulation. An annual subscription costs $100; $50 for former subscribers to Silicon Alley or Digital Coast.

The launch is being targeted to management at recently-funded start-ups, venture capitalists, and executives at the companies that support them. Rising Tide ceo Jason McCabe Calacanis said the launch is designed to "expand our mandate beyond the Internet industry and beyond New York City." It will focus on the top ten most active areas for venture capital investment, including the Internet, lifesciences (biotech, medical devices etc.), software, telecom, financial services, wireless and security.

Taglined "follow the money," the title's editorial includes information on firms that have received funding in the past 60 days, including particulars of the deals, the management teams involved, and their investors.

Besides the daily e-letters produced under the former two magazine titles, Rising Tide also produces the "Life-Sciences.VR.net and "Wireless.VR.net" e-mail letters.
