"Redmond Developer" from 101communications in November.
The Redmond Media Group of 101communications (Chatsworth, CA), now a unit of 1105 Media, Inc. (Chatsworth, CA), will begin the publication of "Redmond Developer" magazine with an issue in November. It will be published monthly and increase to bi-weekly frequency beginning early 2007. It will have an initial rate base of 25,000 professionals, including corporate and enterprise development management and upper-level internal developers and related professionals involved with building and maintaining applications for the Windows desktop and server environments. The new magazine and an accompanying web site will focus exclusively on Microsoft and third-party tools for writing Windows software, including information on Microsoft's new desktop operating system, server operating system, Office suite and set of software development tools. Competitive platforms will be covered purely from the standpoint of integration with Windows, or their viability as an alternative. Its mission is to give readers insights into Microsoft's plans and news on the latest developments and products in the Windows development marketplace.
Redmond Media Group (RMG) publisher Henry Allen said "we have always strived to provide critical and vital information related to all aspects of the Microsoft market and now with the launch of "Redmond Developer," we will have the entire Microsoft computing spectrum covered." "Redmond Developer" is the third magazine launch in less than two years for RMG. In October 2004, the group launched "Redmond" magazine as a re-branding of "Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine." In July 2005, RMG entered the Microsoft channel market with the launch of "Redmond Channel Partner."
Other 101communications titles include "Federal Computer Week," "Application Development Trends," "Enterprise Systems," "Government Health IT" and "T.H.E. Journal."
