"RESTAURANT ROW" CAPTURES CAPE AWARD FOR BEST OVERALL TELEVISION SERIES
 TRENTON, N.J., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The CAPE Award, Cable Award for Programming Excellence for New Jersey, for this year's Best Overall Program went to "Restaurant Row," a Steven David Production.
 The award was presented at the Cable Television Network of New Jersey's (CTN) CAPE Award ceremony held on Friday, Oct. 23.
 "I have to thank CTN and the network's viewers," producer Earle Ziff said when accepting the award. "The overall response to our show has been quite amazing all across the state of New Jersey. I am speechless and thankful for the award and the exposure."
 The winning series is a new addition to the network, having been on the air for nine months. The quality of the show impressed the members of the business community that served as judges for CTN. The innovative format and professional look of the program also won for Best Commercial Series in the Variety Division.
 "Television not only entertains, but provides information," CTN's Executive Director Jim DeBold said at the award ceremony. "Commercial programs that give viewers information are good, those that also entertain are great. This series is great." In addition to citing the productions entertainment value, DeBold also remarked on the high technical quality of the series and its strong viewership.
 The half-hour program airs weekly bringing N.J.'s best restaurants and entertainment options to a statewide audience. The program also features contests and a recent trip on location in Jamaica to shoot several episodes.
 The program airs on CTN Saturdays at 12 noon. Check local listings for the CTN channel in your area.
 The CAPE Awards, Cable Awards for Programming Excellence, were held on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Somerset-Plaza. The Cable Television Network of New Jersey honors its program suppliers at the annual event. The awards recognize craftsmanship, originality and technical quality. This year marked the ninth year for the CAPE Awards.
 CTN is in its ninth year of providing program in a variety of areas for New Jersey. Telecourses, public affairs programs, religious series and entertaining programs are just a sampling of the fare on the 24 hour statewide network. CTN is a service of the New Jersey Cable Operators.
