"My mission is to serve you with ... Pride, Dedication & Participation"

Frank J. Oliveri, Jr., of Arabi, Louisiana, was installed as president of the National Society of Public Accountants at NSPA's 46th Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida, August 23, 1991.

Following his acceptance of the gavel of office, Oliveri announced his theme for his administration to be "Pride, Dedication and Participation." He stressed his administration's commitment to work on behalf of all independent practitioners to ensure their right to practice as true professionals and to meet the challenges that lie ahead. "We are nearing the 21st Century, and I foresee numerous challenges in our profession. Some will be favorable and some not so favorable. We must be ready and able to face these challenges and turn them into opportunities."

Mr. Oliveri outlined his goals for the coming year and pledged to work to meet the Society's and the members' needs in continuing professional education, membership growth and unity among members.

He has been a member of the Society since 1968, having served the Society as governor of District VIII and Louisiana state director, prior to serving NSPA as first and second vice president. He has served on numerous committees and was honored with the Outstanding State Director Award.

Also active on the local level, he has served as president of the Louisiana Society of Independent Accountants and the Louisiana chapter of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. He is active in many civic and fraternal organizations including Kiwanis Club, Young Men's Business Club, Boy Scouts of America and Disabled American Veterans.

A graduate of Loyola University of the South, Mr. Oliveri is accredited in accountancy and taxation by the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation and enrolled to practice before the IRS.

The newly-installed president voiced his appreciation to the membership for their support and confidence, stating, "My mission is to serve you with pride, dedication and participation. I am fully prepared to devote my time and experience in carrying out the duties of president of the National Society of Public Accountants."
