The three ex-Thomas principals include Todd Baker, former director of product news development, Ciro Buttacavoli, former "IEN" publisher, and Cal Calhoun, former "IEN" independent sales representative. The new company said it believes that online and new media opportunities and revenue advances will outweigh the continued decline in print advertising,
Launched in 1933, "IEN" was published monthly for a controlled circulation of 201,000. TCC will cut frequency to six times a year and maintain circulation. Editorial covers new products for the manufacturing

Thomas continues to publish the international editions of "IEN," including those for the PanEuropean, German, Italian, French, Turkish, Japanese and Brazilian markets. The company also continues to cover the North American market through the online resource, ThomasNet Industrial Newsroom.
