"I Had An Abortion" T-shirts.
Bishop Fred Henry of Calgary calls the promotion a sign of the deadly blindness that has come upon our society; it is tantamount to someone wearing a T-shirt that says, "I killed my baby." He considers it an insult to women who have had abortions and are now dealing with psychological and social problems as a result. It is "so callous" of Planned Parenthood, he said, to make this an "in-your-face" issue and to "celebrate the fact that you have killed your baby" (National Post, July 28, 2004).
Once again Bishop Henry is to be commended.
