"European Journal of Criminology' and 'Criminal Justice Abstracts Online' from Sage Publications.
Targeted to professionals interested or involved in European penal systems and practices, "European Journal of Criminology" is written to be a prime source for information and analysis on European crime and criminal justice issues. Launched in partnership with the European Society of Criminology (Brussels), the journal's mission is to "open channels of communications among academics, researchers and policy makers" across Europe. Editorial includes information on crime, analyses of quantitative data, comparative studies, evaluations of interventions and discussions of criminal justice institutions.
Each issue also includes a 'country survey' to summarize relevant information about a country's criminal justice system, reviews of trends in crime and punishment, and discussions of recent relevant publications and studies.
"Criminal Justice Abstracts Online," an abstracting database, contains comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminology and related disciplines. Produced in cooperation with the Library of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University, the service covers crime trends, crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, police, courts, punishment and sentencing.
Editorial also covers: adult corrections, behavioral science, control strategies, education, psychology, social work, substance abuse, and courts and the legal process. The database contains information from over 80,000 records.
