Meeting Someone

Computer dating is everywhere on the Web--and safety is essential. Never give your name, address, or home telephone number to an Internet contact. If the relationship develops, arrange for a meeting in a public place--and take a friend along. With that in mind, many friendships and romances start on the Web. Try www.datingfaces.com (with 500,000 members) or go to www.dateable.org, which specializes in people with disabilities.

Publications

Enabling Romance: A Guide to Love, Sex, and Relationships for People with Disabilities (and the People Who Care About Them) by Ken Kroll and Erica Levy Klein is considered the "Joy of Sex" for people with disabilities. It candidly covers a whole range of subjects while shattering sexual stereotypes. No Limits Communications, 220 pages, paperback, $15.95 from Amazon.com or call 888-850-0344, Ext. 209.

MS and Intimacy by Tanya Radford is a 32-page National MS Society booklet. Call your chapter for a copy.
