"Alfa Telecom" $2 million were withdrawn to Lichtenstein, another $2 million to Hon Kong -- National Security Committee.

The National Security committee revealed that out of $6 million withdrawn from CJST "Alfa Telecom" (MegaCom), $2 million were transfered to Lichtenstein, another $2 million to Hon Kong, said Head of the National Security Committee Shamil Atahanov at the press conference on June 19, 2012, reported Tazabek. According to Atahanov, MegaCom case is in the court. Case of "Alfa Telecom" CEO Azamat Murzlaiev is still under investigation. The Committee also revealed that $2 million of withdrawn funds were then used in Kyrgyzstan. Atahanov noted that it is difficult to receive information from China on previously signed agreements. The same situation is with Turkey. "We need to develop and sign agreements on mutual investigation of criminal cases. We need to learn procedures of other states to prevent corruption actions. This type of agreement was signed with Arab Emirates, and now we are working on joint measures," said Atahanov.
