Internet Telephony 2004 Miami

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2004

The nationwide roll-out of voiceglo's GloPhone - the industry's first browser-enabled Web phone that permits users to be up and calling on their online phone accounts within three minutes from hitting the http://www.glophone.com website - drove online registrations last week, with volume increases of more than 1,000 percent, it was announced today.

Last week on Thursday and Friday at the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo in Miami, voiceglo president Ed Cespedes and his team launched the GloPhone, which permits users to call virtually any phone, anytime, anywhere in the world without the installation of typical telephony hardware, to a very receptive crowd of industry observers and media.

By Thursday afternoon, Mr. Cespedes had been interviewed by four radio stations and the Miami Herald, driving traffic to the voiceglo website in record numbers. The Miami trade show timeframe coincided with voiceglo's Whisper Sweet Nothings for Nothing Valentine's Day promotions at Internet cafe's in Miami, Los Angeles and New York New York, state, United States

that offered consumers an opportunity to test the GloPhone with free 2-minute calls to loved ones.

"Watching the people respond to their use of the GloPhone at these events was a learning experience," said Mr. Cespedes. "When we talk about our patent-pending browser-based telephony solution and how easy it is to connect and stay connected with our software, it can sound a bit esoteric at times. But when you see the people having fun speaking with someone they haven't spoken to in years, it helps us remember that the main thing that we are about is bringing people together. The people using GloPhone will be able to talk to family and friends all over the world more affordably than ever before, and in some cases, even for free. That's why the telephony market is exploding right now, and that's why it will continue to grow."

The nationwide rollout will continue with promotions in major cities over the coming weeks, with more Internet cafe on-site promotions and innovative promotions to be announced To be announced (TBA)
