"Only voiceglo uses this new IP (Internet Protocol) to POTS ("Plain Old Telephone Service") technology," said Ed Cespedes, voiceglo's President while preparing this morning for the press conference in Miami. "It takes about 3 minutes from the time someone reaches our GloPhone web site until they have an active phone line. None of our competitors; AT&T, Verizon or even Vonage - can match that initial use connection speed," he added.

To register for a GloPhone account, new users may go to http://www.glophone.com. After registration, voiceglo will automatically download the software and advise the user of their phone number and password and provide access to a quick tutorial. Then they're ready to start talking.

The GloPhone becomes part of the user's browser. Every time they turn on their computer and are connected to the Internet, their GloPhone service is automatically enabled. This eliminates the need to launch a separate program to make and receive calls.
