TOWN will make Leeds midfielder Adam Clayton their fourth close-season signing - and are in the hunt for French defender Dorian Dervite.

 at Championship rivals Birmingham. Town chief Simon Grayson Simon Nicholas Grayson (born 16 December 1969 in Ripon, North Yorkshire) is an English former footballer and now a manager. Throughout his playing career he primarily operated on the right side of defence however, he was also utilised in midfield.  signed 23-year-old Clayton from Manchester City when he was Leeds manager.

He's been tracking the player ever since Town's League I play-off triumph over Sheffield United, with a three-year contract now in place.

Clayton was transfer-listed by Leeds chief Neil Warnock after talks over an extension to his Elland Road Elland Road is the home stadium of the football team Leeds United. It is currently the 11th largest football stadium in England and the largest stadium in Yorkshire. It is also the largest English stadium outside of the Premiership, and the largest in League 1.  deal, which ran until 2013, broke down.

The former England Under 20 man follows striker Sean Scannell, midfielder Oliver Norwood and defender Paul Dixon to the club for a fee believed to be in the region of pounds 400,000.

Manchester-born Clayton was a regular in the Leeds midfield last season after picking up experience in loan spells at Carlisle (while at Manchester City), Peterborough and MK Dons.

He's played 112 senior games in all, 90 of them starts, and scored 10 goals, impressing with his ability to play both a holding and creative role. Centre-back Dervite, also 23, was with Lille before joining Tottenham, who loaned him to Southend during the 2008-09 season, when he played alongside Town captain Peter Clarke. Capped by France at each age level from Under 16 to Under 21, he switched to Spanish club Villareal in 2010. Centre-back or midfielder Kay could become Clark's first signing at Birmingham, whose transfer embargo has been lifted by the Football League. The 29-year-old former Barnsley man was brought to the Galpharm from Tranmere by Clark three years ago, and has made 119 appearances, scoring 12 goals. Kay is under contract until 2013, but it's believed Town would do business on a player who fell out of the frame towards the end of last season .
