Thompson has more that 20 years of hanking experience, a majority of which was spent in the correspondent division of the former Boatmen's Bank and its successors. Most recently, Thompson was employed by Clark Consulting. Thompson has a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University, Ames, in agri-business and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. * Randy Engen has been named vice president for business development at McFarland State Bank, McFarland, Wis. Prior to joining the bank two years ago, Engen worked for more than two decades as a vice president and senior manager for Universal Hospital Services. * West Bank of West Des Moines, Iowa, named: Mike J. Finlayson as manager of West Bank's downtown branch in Iowa City. Finlayson joined the bank in 2005 as a personal banker. Finlayson attended the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Katie L. Schneider as manger of West Bank's Coralville branch. Schneider has five years experience in the banking industry having held various positions as a personal banker and teller. Schneider joined the bank in 2005. Schneider attended the University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. In addition, Jason D. Dicken, second vice president, has been named manager of West Bank's West Des Moines branch. Dicken spent four years in Denver as a retail banker and branch manager. Dicken has a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa. * Darlene Persons has been named director of investor relations, a first vice president at Comerica Bank, Detroit. Persons succeeds Paul Burdiss, who will continue to serve as treasurer. Persons has a bachelor's degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, in finance.
