SANTA CRUZ SNOWBOARDS EXPANDS LINE SOQUEL, Calif., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Cruz Snowboards, now
in the third year of producing snowboards, has expanded its most popular line of freestyle/freeride boards -- the Asymmetrical Reverse series.
The ASR line is now offered in a new smaller 136cm length, and a larger 172cm length. Other sizes in the ASR line include 146 cm, 158cm, and 163cm boards, the company said. Santa Cruz also has introduced Pro models for U.S. Team rider Chris Roach and European Team rider Bertrand Denervaud (Overall World Champion 1992). Both models land in the 158cm range and are designed for all- terrain riding. Other changes in the '93-'94 line include a new "XHP" (Extreme Halfpipe) hole pattern, which allows the rider stance options from 43cm to 61cm. This hole pattern is available on the Pro and the two XHP Halfpipe models. In softgoods, Santa Cruz has added a one-piece suit to their outerwear line-up of mitts, anoraks, parkas, pull-on pants, and full-zip pants. All made in the United States with pride, these garments feature taped seams, Ultrex construction with articulated, Cordura-reinforced elbows, knees and butt, body and leg gaiters, and a full cut for layering without restriction of movement. A small line of off-the-slope streetwear also will be offered. -0- 2/12/93 /CONTACT: John Martorella of Santa Cruz Snowboards, 408-475-9434/
